This online course introduces engineering students to the fundamental concepts and applications of mathematical modelling in various industry scenarios. It equips students with the necessary tools and techniques to develop, analyze, and interpret mathematical models for real-world engineering problems. The course emphasizes hands-on experience through practical exercises, software applications, and data analysis tasks.
Course Objectives:
Provide a comprehensive understanding of mathematical modelling principles and its role in engineering problem-solving.
Introduce techniques for dimensional analysis and the Buckingham pi theorem for simplifying problems.
Explore the application of mathematical modelling in various industrial contexts.
Equip students with data science skills relevant to industrial applications, including data normalization techniques.
